David Bregger

Daniel Bregger, a retired business and sales professional, is deeply committed to his family, especially his son Dan, whose tragic passing from a highly concentrated form of kratom profoundly changed his life. Originally from Philadelphia and raised in Cincinnati, David eventually settled in New Hampshire, where he raised his two sons. Motivated by this heartbreaking loss, he now champions stronger regulations of kratom and synthetic alkaloid isolates to prevent similar tragedies and protect public safety. His tireless advocacy led to the passage of the landmark Daniel Bregger Act—named in his son’s memory—which was signed into law by the Governor of Colorado in May 2025 to ban hazardous synthetic alkaloid products.
